The Power of Thank You

Friday night I received an email from a client. We had been working on a difficult project together. His email, however, was a simple and genuine thank you for my help. It made me stop what I was doing.

The power of genuine gratitude cannot be underestimated. Sometimes around a Gotham table we ask not only what you do but why you do it. Nearly across the board, the answer is about helping people and being of service. Frankly, that is one the themes I so appreciate in our Gotham family.

When we are all so committed to trying to be of service to a client and truly helping them in a crisis or otherwise, a simple expression of gratitude makes it worthwhile and affirms why we do what we do.

I suppose I should consider saying thank you to my client for his thank you to me.

When I receive a thank you like that it makes my month. Happy Thanksgiving to you and to your family and the entire Gotham Family. Unfortunately I am not able to join the holiday festivities next week---need to plan better, the Gotham event always overlaps one I cannot miss. I wish everyone a joyous evening.
