A Better Mousetrap

About two years ago I became a fan of French pressed coffee. I found the coffee was smoother than in my other preferred method, a Keuring. On weekends I happily used my French Press to make myself a treat; a better cup of coffee. The only issue with my French Press was that I found that I could not drink all the coffee I made in one cup. And when I poured the second cup, as the French Press carafe was made of glass, it was not as hot as the first cup.

About a year ago, I dropped my French Press and the glass carafe shattered. In looking the replace the carafe, I came across a French Press that was made of metal. I decided to give the metal French Press a try. The modification from glass to metal was major. First, I no longer had to concern myself with dropping the carafe. But, most importantly, the second cup of coffee was just as hot as the first!! I am now able to have two equally good cups of coffee on a weekend morning.

My metal French Press has now become my new favorite gadget. What’s yours?

I still like my Keurig but have found it’s the coffee I put into it San Francisco coffee company has some amazing coffees and they are in biodegradable packets. Organic French roast is my favorite

You know when you get a gift that you would never buy for yourself, but then you can’t live without it? Victoria bought me a Nespresso machine. It’s like a high-end Keurig machine that makes espresso and cappuccino and lattes. LOVE it!

I like my Cuisinart programmable coffee maker. Every morning it greets me with ready made coffee!

I have found some of the "boutique" coffee pods don't work in my Keurig.

I'm intrigued by the French press idea. Going to get one myself! Not happy with my Keurig.
