A Moment
I was on the phone the other day with a problem-solver at Apple Support addressing a problem (which turned out to be the result of an update which repositioned certain information on my phone).
While on the call, the advisor had viewing access of the phone to help identify the problem, which was very helpful.
At one point, we reached a dead-end and the advisor put me on hold while he checked with one of his supervisors. When I was on hold nothing was happening and I felt an immediate need to something. Usually I would scroll on my phone, check the news, etc. but I couldn’t because I didn’t want to disturb the phone’s configuration while we were trying to fix it.
I wondered about the “need” and asked myself why I couldn’t just take a moment and do nothing.
Many reasons came to mind. None were very healthy. The reasons made me realize that I really should be taking a moment — or two.
