Suburbia

I went to bed last night happy that I was going to be able to sleep a little later, have a good breakfast, write my blog and then go throw some snow around.

My neighbor Al, a nice guy, had a different plan. I awoke this morning at about 6 AM to the sounds of his Toro straining against the weight of over a foot of snow as he was clearing his driveway. His snow thrower even has a headlight on it.

So much for the quiet of Suburbia. At least I was going to wait until 9.

Gives you time to ask Jake about his Band. :)

I have over 2 feet of snow in my driveway and doubt my blower is even going to work. Even worse, the pile in front of my driveway from the plow trucks is over 4 feet. I have never seen anything like this. The snow on my deck is up to my chest from the wind.

I am guessing the next time I will be seeing any of you will be Spring.

Sorry, Mitch. I slept like a baby in Chelsea despite plows working all night to keep our streets clean.

I saw my post was anonymous. I didn't mean for it to be. Gerry Goldhaber

This is one time where the squats, push-ups, and crunches paid off. About a foot of snow dug out already.

Completely rude and self-centered in my opinion. He may be a nice guy, but there is a respect level for your neighbors that comes into play. It's great that he is comfortable being up that early, but most people aren't. It's really no different from blasting loud music at one in the morning.

Bad neighbor behavior. Can you discuss it with his mother?

Sorry to hear that. Feeling a little bad for you, as I sit on the beach in sunny San Juan.

Tres naughty neighbor. Nothing a little hot chocolate (add a little Kahula) won't cure, a nice way to warm up!

I hate when the gardeners start before 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Unless he had somewhere he had to be, your neighbor was being discourteous.

Sorry about the early wake-up, maybe he snuggled enough during the night or had someplace to go so started early. But 6am --- after a quiet snowy cozy night, not so nice
