660

A somewhat meaningful number these days. While Fred was being honored last night, A-Rod smacked his 660th homer last night at Fenway park tying Willie Mays for fourth on the all time list. His laser shot snapped a 2-2 tie and proved to be the winning run. Now the controversy will smolder as the Yankee organization refuses to pay him a $6 million dollar bonus (which is in his contract) for reaching that milestone.

They argue that his PED scandal and year long suspension make this achievement unmarketable. A-Rod, for his part, is sidestepping it by focussing on "just putting the ball in play."

What do you think? Should ARod get his bonus?

They should pay him. He is only one drawing fans.

In his contract is "MARKETABILITY" actually written or is it implied? We might never know what was verbalized or intended when drafted. A verbal contract is as binding as a written one if both parties agreed. How would you argue the case Lefty?

I think the $6million should go to The Gotham Foundation, especially since I don't follow baseball.

What ever Ms. Saleh is saying I will agree to it. It just makes perfect sense.

Simple answer: abide by the terms of the contract and hopefully it will not require arbitration and/ or judicial resolution.
