Cookie Monsters

One of my family’s favorite shows is S"hark Tank."  In fact, we have, in the past, purchased some of their food products. In catching up on some episodes we missed, one product piqued my interest; cookie baking kits that were comprised of fresh organic ingredients, such as sugar and flour, with each ingredient separately packaged. What interested me about the mixes was not the organic ingredients or the unique way they were packaged but, rather, that they were sold in variety packages of four different types of cookies.

While our favorite cookie is definitely chocolate chip, my daughters and I can always appreciate a good oatmeal raisin cookie or snicker doodle. My husband, step-daughter, and step-son feel otherwise. They are chocolate chip cookie purists and see no reason to waste time or calories on another other type of cookie. So, a variety pack of cookie mixes would be very useful in our home.

What type of cookie connoisseur are you?

Rona, my son Stevie and I are avid fans of Shark Tank. We've both learned a lot.

As for cookies, I will pass unless its my favorite... Lorna Doones. I'm allergic to chocolate and my kids prefer chocolate chip. I stopped buying pre-made as one of my favorite things to do is bake with Emily---and she is partial to eating the raw cookie dough. I know, gross.

Love Shark Tank. Great show. And, as for cookies - let's say, I think I like them all! But, if I have to choose a favorite -- they are the chocolate chip cookies from the gift shop at South Nassau hospital. I know that sounds funny. But my son introduced me to them -- fresh baked chocolate chip. We like them so much that my mother stops at the hospital periodically to buy the frozen dough.

Chocolate chip #1. Chocolate covered grahams are up there too. The chocolate 1/2 of black and white.

Corey, I'll split the black and white with you, I love the vanilla part!!!
