Halloween is an interesting holiday. I bought a bunch of candy to give out and sat on the porch, and only three kids and two dogs came by. Yet two blocks away, there were hundreds.

What gives?

When my kids and I went trick or treating, we strolled down every block, filling their pillowcases until they couldn't carry them anymore. We were on a mission!

Now I've got a bunch of candy. Come on by; I'm on the porch :-)

Take it to a shelter or food distribution group. Even adults need a candy boost!
(I never had candy at halloween - we had to "Trick or Treat for UNICEF")

We had zero people come down our block, now two years in a row. A tradition for a bunch of our neighbors is to set up a large folding table and we all bring candy to give out and decorate with pumpkins and other Halloween stuff. We then bring out chairs and enjoy an adult beverage or two and catch up with whats been going on lately. Kids or no kids, we have a nice time hanging out. Our dogs welcome too, of course.

It's all about location! Nothing personal!!! I'm near a school and (not too far from Mitch) and got swamped.
