We’re on Martha’s Vineyard and as we drove from the ferry to our destination, I was quickly reminded that there is a lot of traffic on this island.
And there is a lot of courtesy on this island.
Courtesy makes traffic much more tolerable.

It makes such a difference when people are courteous when driving. It's why I dislike the notion of having to drive when visitng back to the NY metro area. My blood pressure rises as soon I get out of the airport, mainly due to driving styles that leave rules of the road and courticy out the window.
