T-shirts. The unmistakeable sign of an attitude. What attitude that might be is up to the wearer and for us to guess.

Some throw one on without any thought as to what it says or what it means, while others carefully pick one out that fits the statement they want to make.

In my ad hoc poll, most T-shirt wearers are conscious about the statement they are making. For me, I don't wear T-shirts out and about. I believe they are functional and use them for gardening, playing sports, working out, or lounging in the house on a weekend.

Tee shirts are a form of self expression and advertising.

I love a good T-shirt especially where I live as it can be worn nearly all year. My main decision is more color coordination with the shorts I am wearing that day. But a good image or message may take precedence depending on holiday or where I am going.

I have very few with messages on them. I have one that says, "Don't Underestimate the power of a well read woman." Absolutely purposeful messaage.

Those who wear a tee shirt with a message, need to be seen, need to show up and very much need to be heard…as in getting something off their chest or off their back. Those who manufacture tee shirts want to make money. There is nothing right or wrong with any of this. It comes with the territory and social paradigm of being human in a FREE society. Those of us who don’t participate like our privacy and don’t feel the need to be validated or controversial.

I have one that says "I Yell Because I Care" and on cold nights I sleep in the one for the CT Atty General's campaign.

Well my t's represent an expression of my good taste in music, IMHO.
