Brown Spots

Categories
Food Blogs

Over the years my wife Joanne has often remarked (complained) about brown spots on her face and hands and applied various over the counter remedies to counter them without satisfaction.  Truly, the spots are one of "Nature's dirty tricks".

Then, last week, Joanne mentioned the spots to our friend Ennid Berger who, matter of factly, asked "Have you tried applying a raw potato?"

What? Raw potato? Glory be! Who knew there could be such a simple natural remedy?

Unbelievably, it worked and continues to work cosmetically.  Thank you Ennid!

Nature thwarting Nature?

Try it, it is affordable and I guarantee you'll like it.

PS:  I hope this blog does not cause a run on potatoes

Nature is remarkable! It's good to keep our eyes (potato joke) open for natural remedies.

Almost 15 years ago when I moved into my current home with second wife, she expected I knew how to fix things. Well wouldn't you know it when a lightbulb broke and got stuck in the vanity I applied a "McGyver" solution which was thrusting a raw potato into the socket to grasp and unscrew said broken bulb and metal elements. Well let's just say that remnants of the potato remained for several weeks until our handyman neighbor stopped by and removed the curiosity much to the satisfaction of said, second wife who to this day, still thinks I should figure out how to "fix things".

Who knew? Thanks for the tip! And thank Joanne and Ennid! What do I do with the rest of the potato? Slice it and put the slices in water? Or salt water to preserve? How long will those slices last? How long does one apply a potato slice to be effective? And how long does it last? How many treatments per week?
