Football Season is Over

Football season is officially over. For our house that brings a total change of atmosphere. The only sport my husband avidly follows is football. He is a long-suffering Jets fan.

Sunday is the only day my husband has off from work. So, during football season I try not to make any plans on Sundays so he can relax and enjoy watching. I take the time to catch up on those Sundays on my reading, work, or watching television shows that I know he has no interest in.

But, after the Super Bowl last night, football season is officially over in my house. That is always an interesting transition for us. I have just spent the past five months avoiding making any plans on Sundays. Now Sunday is again open for us, and we have to start thinking about what we can do on Sunday afternoons.

Any fun Sunday suggestions Gotham?

As a fellow "long suffering Jets fan," at least you don't have to worry about making the playoffs!

Dim Sum! Go to any Chinatown you can find and have a marvelous "brunch". Invite friends so you can order too many dishes.
Before and after Dim Sum? Long walks with a loved one.

I will miss Football as well. Day trips out (I used to love drives to Hawley, PA), museums, home projects.

Count me in as another long suffering Jets fan - is there any other type? Despite tomorrow's forecast, spring is coming - arboretums and gardens always a great place to enjoy some nature and some peace.
