Game of Thrones

It has been a long time since I was hooked on a TV show.  The last time I watched as religiously was Hill Street Blues, a long time ago.  Now, 30 years later, it is Game of Thrones.

The woman who cuts my hair told me to watch it.  She particularly liked the sex scenes she said, which seem to have waned a bit after season 1.  I like the tension in the show, and love all the accents, especially Rob's and the red head who captured John Snow.  I like the way they say "broothuh."

The problem though is that I sometimes miss what they are saying.  And the new characters that sometimes appear confuse me.  Trying to keep all the names straight is like reading War and Peace; you need a chart.

I am thinking about starting from episode 1 and watching it all over again to see what I have missed.  Or maybe they have Cliff Notes.

I'm hooked too. We decided to give the show a try after a friend raved about it and ended up watching almost all of season 1 in a weekend. This season is the beginning of book 3; but I'm reading book 5, which means I have to be careful about my reactions. I don't want to give anything away and spoil it for my husband.

By the way, I've tried to get him to call me Khaleesi but so far no luck.

I hate getting caught up in these things. Then they go away on vacation or something and you sit and wait by the TV for days, months till it starts again.....like Homeland....where the hell is Homeland....omg, this is going to drive me nuts!

Have not watched it; lack HBO by choice; maybe on netflix; I live that genre generally.

Love Game of Thrones! skipping tonight because my wife is away and my son just drove in the game tying run and scored the winning run in our game tonight (he is not an elite player so this is special). PLEASE NO SPOILERS!!! Don go back and watch them all, you won't be disappointed. My wife and I re-watch them all before easch season. Nothing like HBO on Demand. BTW, I am looking for someone new to cut my hair ;)

...Oh yeah, many of those accents are SCOTTISH!!! ;)

Most riveting show on TV since 24, Liz, might be the blonde factor, but keep trying.

My daughter loves it. She graduates college next month and is coming home for grad school. She told me she's going to hook me on it.

I hadn't heard of it either. In our house, my wife loves "Friends" reruns (it was a very clever and funny show), and if I miss "Jeopardy" for more than a couple of days I have withdrawal symptoms. In addition there's "Modern Family" and of course, "Glee."

You could be right. I tried to get a pet dragon, but couldn't get the co-op board to waive the weight limit on pets. :)
