This morning into afternoon members of the Bearak, Stone and Stark clans gather to celebrate a special milestone: Mom’s 80^th.  If not for my involvement a primary election involving my good friend and client, the party (and this blog) would have occurred the weekend before. Anyway, mom got a nice present when she got to visit and view the new apartment grandson Doug (my eldest nephew) just occupied after a great deal of effort to secure just the right place at the right price; and of course the nice haunt of my son and her eldest grandchild. I am sure those visits will be the highlights for her as she so enjoys the grandchildren making their own ways in life.

The party – a real family affair, in this correspondent’s humble opinion, works best to help a special lady celebrate a special day after all these years. So I dedicate today’s blog to mom who means so much to all her children, their spouses, her grandchildren and her entire family at that.
