Letting Go of Gary...

Sometimes you have to let go of old things to make room for the new. It can be good to shake things up, change the order of things, take a new path.

I've been listening to Gary Vaynerchuk for at least 8 years, he's a business guy, makes a ton of video and runs a multi million dollar media company. He was inspring for the first 7 and a half, now he distracts me, so I'm letting him go. He still is a great guy, I just don't need him anymore.

Gary self awareness

It amazes me how much time I can spend reading emails from various reputable sources, when it is not getting me any closer to my objectives. I have things to do and I have to be clear about how I'm using my time.

What can you let go of? And how do you do it? Disney made a whole movie about it. I had to have someone sit across from me as I unsubscribed, just so I wouldn't get distracted...

I'm also taking my shower at night. Shake it up, shake it up.

We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. -Walt Disney

I'm a creature of habit, but multitask by doing much of my creative thinking in my predawn waking hour.

I believe in consistency but sometimes you need to adapt, sometimes for a day or several of them (not necessarily sequential) and sometimes longer term. I blogged about one change -- the use of an iPad to reach much of my daily news and no more weekday newspapers.

So difficult to change our "habits." Congrats to you for doing so.
