Brown Eyed Handsome Man

"Brown Eyed Handsome Man" is the B side of Chuck Berry's 1956 "Too Much Monkey Business" recording and is a paean to the great Brooklyn Dodger player Jackie Robinson (#42) who broke through, indeed changed the World.

The song got me thinking about eye color and spawned the realization that, until recently, I did not look into someone's eyes. Rather, despite near normal hearing, I focused on the lips.

Thus, only recently, have I noticed the mesmerizing beauty of blue eyes, eg, those of KonkLife Publisher Guy deBoer pictured.

I for one, have brown eyes and will not object to you labeling me a brown eyed handsome man, especially considering the above connection :)

I always seem to notice the eyes first; maybe because I was taught to make eye contact when meeting someone. Lately though, as you said, I'm focusing more on the lips. Besides, it's not polite to check out a guy's butt!!

PS....you are a handsome brown-eted man.

I all my life looked first thing to the color of the eyes. I dated from a young age only boys and then men with blue eves. This got me in trouble more than once.
Fred, you don't have blue eyes but you are a very handsome man.

With admiration from a brown eyed not bad looking woman. And … BTW one should always look people in the eyes! Lips are nearby to catch both.

Whenever I look into Fran's eyes I fall in love with her over and over for the past 39 years - in addition to her smiles.
