On TV

On TV

Oftentimes we’ll just put the TV on in the evening for background noise while we clean up the dishes and move on to other tasks. (We rarely block out the time to sit and watch one of the many “streamed” shows the are in the “must watch” list.)
So, we have one of the formulaic network shows in the background.
And now it’s baseball season and there is nothing better than a baseball game on in the background. Much more exciting than the network shows.
When something really exciting happens, you hear the roar of the crowd emphasized by the announcers. And, in case you missed it, you get to see the cause of all the commotion in the instant replays.

We usually have the local cable news station on as filler time. But baseball can be more entertaining for sure.

Worry less and do more! There are people to help and causes to support so that’s where my money would go.

I like the (Happy Hour) team building aspect of the lottery ticket purchase!

Travel……first class. Spoil my friends and family. Unless I won Mellisa Gates money - sadly I can’t save the world. But I would definitely up my charitable contributions.

I really stopped to think about this. I’ve realized over time that Paul and I are so blessed, I really don’t want/need anything other than what we already have…. It would all be gravy! I think we would help our kids with their dreams, find a way to give back, but honestly, the lottery used to be a lot more compelling! I love the camaraderie aspect of your groups, though. That’s a beautiful thing! (I remember Nancy asked this question at a women’s group meeting years ago, in the form of “what would you do if you got $2 million“ not enough to necessarily retire immediately, so you have to think about it. Great questions.)

I will work less, visit my kids more, donate, and move unless I can keep my winning a secret.
Ray Walcott

Donate it to the Gotham Foundation!

Priceless with the rhyme, you're on a roll Mitch, this time!

Anyone from Long Island can relate. I hate the racetrack mentality on the Southern State the most.

In the spirit of your post:
From pothole to puddle, it’s quite the feat,
Navigating chaos on multi-lane streets.
With Waze as your co-pilot and nerves of steel,
You weave through the madness behind the wheel.

Great shows. I saw the Brothers many times in my younger years as they played often in NY. Always good performances.
Rona Gura

There definitely is nothing like live music for the sound. Although, sometimes, I find that the taped versions of concerts, include backstage conversations, interviews, etc. that you do not normally see and are really interesting.
Robert Intelisano

Wow, great back to back nights for you! The brothers, serious lineup and set list, bravo!
Michael Steger

Did you invite The Brothers to apply for a performance slot at Gotham's Battle of the Bands on Sunday, May 18th at Club Groove?
