A Nice Sign

CUPS, a Virginia coffee shop, may have stumbled on a way to solve some of the world's problems. They have gained international attention after a photo of the sign (seen below) went viral.

A Nice Sign

The sign maker was overheard saying "I decided because I need to solve all the injustices of the world to start charging more for people who didn't take the time to say hello and connect and realize we're all people behind the counter."

CUPS Coffee & Tea owner Olivia Byrd confirmed the pricing on the sign is only meant as a joke and no one has been charged $5 for a small coffee.

I think it's a capital idea...imagine if being nice gets you a better price on everything...cars, apartments, food...

You never get a second chance to make a good first impression.

I love it. I always talk to the people serving me, sometimes to my kids' embarrassment. :)
A smile and a nice hello always goes a long way.

From being in the military and experiencing the south, good manners go a long way with people...I wish the younger generation would practice it more...
