Summer Concerts, Jones Beach, B.B. Kings, Peter Frampton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Al Kooper, Joe Walsh, Bad Company,

The approach of summer means signals concert season.

Outdoor venues host any number of shows into September.

Music acts of all kinds abound and offer ample opportunity to find sounds of enjoyment.

I expect to see at least three show just this month in just nine days.

Peter Frampton and Lynyrd Skynyrd at Jones Beach;

Al KooperAl Kooper (pictured above, Al produced Skynyrd's first three LPs) celebrating his 72nd year (which he reached a few months back) at B.B Kings in Times Square; and Bad Company and Joe Walsh also at Jones. There might even be some free ones worth attending.

I certainly expect to add some more shows (Obviously I have several forays to Citifield for some ball games.).

Any concerts plans this summer?

(and as a special treat, the song that gave title to this blog.)

Just saw Elton John in Vegas and The Who in MSG. They all amazed me that they still have their voices and are rocking away.

Sounds like an awesome line up!!! Love the summer outdoor events: Old Westbury Gardens, Town Parks, Jones Beach, Dancing in the streets in Oyster Bay and the MET games. Bring the bug spray!

Will be seeing Paul Simon on 7/1 at Forest Hills Stadium, Paul McCartney on 8/7 at MetLife Stadium and Jimmy Buffet on 8/25 at Jones Beach Stadium! I'm particularly happy about Paul Simon, because Forest Hills is almost in our backyard...so easy for us!!
