A Lazy Day

I am just about ready for a lazy day. You know – the kind of day that has no errands, no work and no plan. No cleaning, no laundry, no chauffeuring, no supermarkets, no gym. My "no" list could go on and on.

In my world a lazy day means a good book on my Kindle and a very cold glass of Moscato. If I am really pushing it, my lazy day also includes a poolside lounge and warm sun. But,  unfortunately I don’t see that part in my future anytime soon.

What is your picture of a lazy day?

Sitting on my deck outside in my lounge chair (which becomes hard come Memorial day weekend when the chair moves to the pool; been thinking about treating myself to another), streaming or playing some good music (any guesses?). I colder weather I'd use my loveseat recliner but maybe steam a concert I could view on the Apple TV.

Other than Fred's (only because I never exercise, although I should) they all sound wonderful. For me a truly lazy day would begin with the ability to turn off my brain and just relax and enjoy whatever---a walk, a good book, music, friends, my family, with nothing to think about and no client issues---just for 24 hours.

My son and I are taking an extremely rare "lazy" day tomorrow -- playing hookey from work (he has some paid time off credit that he has to use by months' end or lose, and I made an executive decision to join him...). So, we're having a father & son day out east, on the North Fork -- a few pre-season tastings at wineries, lunch, and catching up on conversation. Really looking forward to it. Work will have to wait.

Black & White movies on TCM while data mining on the laptop. Or, a trip to a museum. Any museum.
