"An Oklahoma mother alleges that a teacher at her 4-year-old son's school was told to stop writing with his left hand because that's the hand Satan uses.

Okemah resident Alisha Sands, 30, said she asked her son Zayde -- who normally writes with his left hand -- why he was using his right hand to complete his homework.

"I just asked, 'Is there anything his teachers ever asked about his hands?' And he raises this one and says,'This one's bad,'" Sands told KFOR on Monday.

When the concerned mom asked the unnamed teacher at Oakes Elementary for an explanation, she was allegedly sent an article describing left-handed users as evil, unlucky, and sinister. The article cites the devil as one of the worst offenders of using his left hand. What more proof do you need?"

I know a certain blogger who might take issue with this.

Not to mention reality, science, and common sense.

It still astounds me that this type of thinking is not only alive and well, but being taught across America.

Maybe one of you can ask the Pope his thoughts on this. Not me, I'll be as far away from that crowd as I can get.

Since both the Pope and President will be meeting together tomorrow, and Obama is a lefty, I suggest he's a natural to discuss it with the Pope. Come to think of it, is the Pope a lefty too?

My younger child is a lefty. When she was young she tried to use her right hand because she wanted to be more like myself and her sister. I taught her to be proud of being different from us. I even found certain items that were made for lefties, i.e. mugs and pens, and purchased them for her. She is now, at 20, a very proud lefty.
