The game
I'm blogging live from Citifield and the score is 1-1 in the 6th inning. The chant is up...Lets go Mets...Lets go Yankees. I don't know who's going to win. I hope it's the Yankees.
I'm with 124 fellow Gothamites and their friends and families. The game is sold out with good playoff possibilities for both teams.
A beautiful night, perfect weather and, of course, the planes flying overhead. Another great tribal event.

As my friend Bogie says, "The problems of two little teams don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world..."

More important I explained to fearless leader his team was done when I learned the starting lineup. He gave me look when their was N infield hit to short but everyone else knew the SS TC wrongly favors does make any play at all and Yanks get -st and 3rd instead of 1st and 2nd; and there was a little matter of full extension to catch a wide throw to 2nd on Tanak's failed sac. attempt. The SS who belongs off the team -- despite what Erik says --not only fails to record the putout but the throw would sail into CF and boy would our fearless founder be happy and the rest of his family sad. Hard to win a game when no out comes easy--so unlike much of the early part of this season.
