Fly Fi

So I'm traveling to Buffalo last night to visit my Mother-in-law for her birthday. I get on the plane and as we are taxiing on the ground I stow my phone in the seat back in front of me. Just after we take off I notice the faint glow of my phone and wonder why. I pick it up and see that an unknown caller left a message. Out of curiosity, I click the message to see if it I can hear it. It's Lifeline, they are calling me because my mother needs assistance.

35,000 feet in the air and I'm looking around thinking there's nothing I can do hoping my Mom is okay.

Luckily Jet Blue has WiFi on the plane I was in. I pop open my laptop, connect to their "Fly Fi" and sent a message to my sisters phone through email. She responded and within minutes let me know that the situation was okay.

I love technology.

Agree on the tech. I love that my calls can go to my Mac now. My son has spotty cell in his office but rerouting the call to his mac he was able to do a conference call via the Mac. He even called me that way to verify the connection would sound okay.

I love technology too.
Especially the Mac!
Connection is bliss...

Only above 10,000 feet. I believe the FAA drew a line in the atmosphere to protect the providers stuck on earth. I've put in a claim for beyond Mars but so far no one has gotten back to me.

I love JetBlue. My daughter was flying home from Buffalo last night. You probably crossed in the air. :)

Thankfully, you know how to use technology, not everyone does 35,000 feet high.
