Please tell me that I am not alone.

Ann B. Davis played the character of Alice on one of my all-time childhood TV shows, the Brady Bunch. (Don’t get me started – I’ll be talking about I Love Lucy next). Sadly, she passed away this weekend and that had me strolling down memory lane.

I am actually a little fanatic about the show. I still sometimes find myself heading to TV Land to see if I can find that famous “tic-tac-toe” show opening with that catchy tune . . . you know it . . . sing with me now . . .“Here’s the story . . . of a lovely lady . . . who was bringing up three very lovely girls.”.

Anyone remember, “If it’s time to change, you’ve got to rearrange?” or the infamous “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!” And, of course, the episode where Mike solves the conflict between six children who all wanted to spend time on the telephone by installing a pay phone.

Do you have a favorite memory from The Brady Bunch? Come on, if I had the courage to write this blog, you can all share with me! [And, if not The Brady Bunch, how about from another television show?]

Another thing we have in common-loved The Brady Bunch!. Friday nights were the best, The Brady Bunch followed by The Partridge Family. Oops, did I just reveal my inner nerd?

For me, Ann B. Davis was Schultzy. And Dwayne Hickman was Bob Cummings' nephew.

Ah, yes, The Brady Bunch. Then afterwards came the Partridge Family (Mad Magazine satirized it as "The Putrid Family"). After that, it was Room 222 and then The Odd Couple (one of the funniest shows ever on television).

The Brady Bunch was a show that no guy in my generation will admit having watched, yet we probably know every episode. Are you going to tell me Fred never saw the Joe Namath episode?!? Didn't "Mom always said don't play ball in the house" originate from that show?

I watched it but I shared tv time with my brother; it was not must see TV per see. My shows back then include Combat! and The Rat Patrol
