Breaking something

One of my guilty pleasures is watching Breaking Bad. Prompted by my daughter and son, I started watching it for the first time about 5 months ago and I'm in the middle of the final season.

I have never seen a show so well written, shot and acted. It's brilliant the way little details are woven into the story line and brought back to have meaning. The ending of the fourth season (which was originally the end date of the show before it was extended another year) was unbelievable. The only thing I could say was Holy S###t! I even called my daughter and said the same thing about a dozen times. I can only wonder what I'll be saying after the last episode.

Now in this fifth and final season Vince Gilligan, the writer, is taking me through a roller coaster of emotions. I just finished the episode where Bryan Cranston says to his brother-in-law "If you don't know who I am then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly." ....What a great line...

I'll be sad after watching the last episode. What should I watch next?

Game of Thrones. It's on HBO and in it's 4th season (which is the 2nd half of the third book). I've read all 5 books and now watch the series with my husband while trying not to give anything away. While author has not completed the book series, I read he told HBO how the story ends in case he dies before completing the books. I really hope THAT doesn't happen!

Homeland or the new 24. Both are breathtaking. We binge watched Homeland during the winter. There were many mornings I walked into work completely exhausted because we couldn't stop watching.

If you want something comedic, Episodes on Showtime is extremely well written. Totally different direction from Breaking Bad but I really liked it and, from what I'm told, very true to life. Matt LeBlanc is wonderfully self deprecating.

Fred, you watch Game of Thrones? My daughter loves it but told me she didn't think I would. I may try it this summer.

We just finished watching House of Cards on Netflix. One of the few shows that gets Shelly to my Office to join me to watch TV. I notice that even Norm agrees
