My Hat and the Relief Pitcher

Want to start a conversation? Wear a hat with a logo — preferably of
a sports team.
I’ve blogged about the magnetism of hats before.
I am walking in Bermuda with my Mets hat on and I expect to meet either a Red Sox fan or a Yankees fan. Met both but the Beantown fan was a little more interesting.
One thing led to another and Dave told me the story of his nephew Oliver Drake, a relief pitcher, who played for five MLB teams in his rookie season (a record?). And years later proud uncle was in the stands at Fenway when Oliver pitched a record tying home run to David Ortiz (look it up for what record was tied). Oliver got revenge the next night - striking David out.
And, to think, I wouldn’t have known about Oliver without my hat.
