Spring has sprung

The grass has riz

I wonder where dem boidies is

Dem boides are on the wing

Isn't that absoid

The wing is on the boid

A bit of online research reveals (not much):

Though often attributed to Ogden Nash or ee cummings (and popularized in the UK by Spike Milligan), the poem has roots that go back further in time to an anonymous author. There are many versions. Here’s one:

Spring is sprung, de grass is riz; I wonder where dem boidies is? Dey say dem boids is on the wing. But dat's absurd, de wing's on de boid! Or so I’ve hoid.

And there’s a less-known addendum:
Spring is what winta
Always gozinta.
