NYC, hometown, home team

Detroit Lions - I am from Detroit so they were my first team and I'm still a fan.  Detroit is a good place to be from – it never felt like home thought despite being my place of birth and locus for 3 decades. I dreamed about living in New York City.

DC and Florida – I lived there, owned property and yet always felt like I was passing through. Their teams were never my teams!

I always felt at home in NYC even when I was visiting. It’s the place for dreamers, strivers, disrupters, and anyone who can thrive in an ever-changing landscape. Borough to borough,  neighborhood to neighborhood, block to block, everything melded together into one amazing experience for anyone who wants to call NYC “home.” Moving to NYC was a dream come true - my home run - touchdown!

The first thing I did when I moved here was sell the car, then I got a library card and opened an account at Citi Bank. I was home. New York – all five boroughs (yes, even Staten Island) is home no matter what my zip code is. All the teams are my teams!

What is home to you?

Am glad you came to Gotham City and wish you the best up in "The Boogie Down" Bronx!

It's funny how places get their nicknames. Detroit was never known to me as "The D." It was always Motown. Glad to be a Gothamite in The Boogie Down Bronx
