Aaron Power

Categories
Games

The name Aaron is a most significant one in history.

Aaron was the older brother of Moses and his partner in all of his accomplishments.

In Hebrew the meaning of Aaron is lofty; exalted; high mountain.

The second name (first until recently) in all of baseball history in the baseball encyclopedia is Hank Aaron, one of the very greatest players ever to play the game.

In this context it is significant that my New York Yankees have three Aarons on their team.  They are led by manager Aaron Boone and have Aaron Hicks in center field and my very favorite Aaron Judge in right field.

Thus, it is not surprising that their position in the American League standings is lofty, exalted and, to most, a high mountain to reach.

You could call it Aaron power!

But can he dance like MC Hammer?

Aaron Judge must have tried your soul with his 8 Strike Out Day! But he rose up to hit the extra inning homer. He is an Aaron not afraid of the big moment.

I found that in the Mets' history they only had one player named Aaron-Ledesma. He played third from 1993-1996.

I drafted this blog before the eight strike out game and feared for the worst until The 13th inning homerun

I call it Ron Jud , similar to Key Man or in other words psychopathic obsession . When The Mick used to strike out I would literally pout til his next at bat . Then he would K again and I would go outside and yell ! But I never saw the Key Man swing at so many pitches out of the zone . Down and away . Up and away . Down and in . K after sickening K . I can't damage my psyche by holding him in such high esteem . There is no I in Team . No Jeter to look to . Look , he's not living up to his shining light . Either is Sanchez or Stanton . I'm rooting for the Yankees . Not one individual . Not enough history yet with individual players as with the franchise . I root for the team now . Not the Key Man . And besides non of my baseball cards smell like gum anymore . And the single digits are no more .
