Kim Kardashian's Pregnancy Fashion Choices?

Categories
Lifestyle

Since Kim Kardashian announced that she was pregnant, photographs of her have been published on an almost daily basis. Equally pervasive have been negative comments about her weight gain and her choice of clothing during her pregnancy. She has been criticized for gaining too much weight, wearing clothing that was too tight, too revealing, and heels that were too high.

The criticism of Kim’s clothing choices reached a fever pitch last week when Robin Williams tweeted a picture of Kim dressed in a floral gown at The Annual Met Fashion Gala alongside a photograph of him dressed as Mrs. Doubtfire in a similar floral dress. Below the two photographs he included a caption that read, “I wore it best.”

Kayne West is apparently coming to his girl friend’s defense. He has agreed to be the musical guest at the final episode of Saturday Night Live next week. Allegedly, he agreed to appear only if the producers agreed that Kim would not be mentioned at any time during the show.

Many internet commentators agree with Kayne. They argue that the scrutiny on Kim’s fashion choices during her pregnancy has been so brutal that it amounts to bullying. Others argue that, as she earns her living by appearing on a reality show, no subject should be off limits.

What do you think Gotham? Are there some choices that are above criticism? Or do the choices people make invite such criticism?

I think as far as Kim is concerned all press is good press. She's all about marketing herself. She isn't an actress yet she has a tv show. She doesn't have any perceivable talent and yet she's constatnly in the news. She (and her family) really should go down as some of the best marketers in the history of marketing.

I am with Vincent. She put herself out there, the good and the bad. Ugh, I can't believe I am spending any part of my day thinking about Kim Kardashian.

I am almost always against whatever the main stream media is doing. The Kardashians as much as anything represent the worst of what's happening in our country right now. So as far as things to worry about, their welfare is low on the list. Let's remember that she became famous for making a porn movie, a path that another reality star has just tried.

I used to joke with my daughter (because both her and my wife watch the show) that there are two kinds of people in the world, those who laugh at the Kardashians and those who wish they were the Kardashians.

Even if I tried really, really hard, I do not think that I could possibly care less.

I care not about them but give them credit for monetizing their lives and becoming celebretards.
