Here's To The Cubbies!

Be honest, how many of you had the will and endurance to stay up last Wednesday night through the early hours of Thursday morning for the 10th inning, post rain delay, 7th  game, Cubs 8-7 World Series, first in 108 years, victory?

That's quite a lead, don't you think?

After all, the Cubs had to exorcise the curse of the goat and free Steve Bartman from witness protection!

Cub pitcher Jon Lester said it best: "A curse for me, is an excuse looking for a way out".  Profound!

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, feel free to return to your haunt under your rock.

Forget that Cubs Manager Joe Maddon was a 3 time IDIOT for his game 7 over managing.  Focus rather on giving incredibly well earned Props to immediate Hall of Famer Theo Epstein for busting 2 curses!

It was so worth staying the course and seeing this once in a century miracle realized.  No excuses, if there is ever a next time.

Next question, how late did you stay up on Election night?

I watched the end of the Series. As to the other event, you mean where the apparent winner recorded 2,000,000 LESS votes than the popular vote winner.

Stayed up longer for the game - did not know who was going to win. For the election - I thought I knew (or was nervous for the alternative). For both we have to accept with what has happened (good or bad) and deal with it - no excuses.

With good intentions, I tried to stay awake, set the sleep timer on the TV at midnight for both events and ended up sleeping through it. Never thought either would take so long for a final result. Would have really liked to see the end of the World Series being a baseball fan and witnessing the curse ending.

I stayed awake, I wanted to watch history in the making. I knew they would win. It was an exciting game., their time in history. Sometimes you just have to tap into knowing when the tide has turned, you can feel it, like the Boston Red Sox win, the Cavalliers, Brexit and a Trump win.

Nice segue by the way . Back to the World . A couple of things . Going into the bot of the 8th game 7 . I'm telling Diane . Karma . Aroldis Chapman on the mound for the Cubs . DOMESTIC ABUSER . Signed by the Yankees and suspended by MLB for beating up on his woman . I said there is no way the good lord is gonna make him a hero . BOOM ! Rajai Davis goes yard . Tie game ! You had to think the curse was in ! Chapman powers through . Cubs win . Managers like Maddon and Francona have the incredible baseball sense to get these two teams to the big show. Theo Epstein is a Mench ! The Cubs would not be denied ! What a series ! What a diversion ! What a segue ! Thanks Fred !

Chapman cried after his failure, but will clean up nevertheless

Watched every game in the World Series and stayed up to the end to watch the cubs win! And then stayed up some more! So exciting! As for the election stayed up to 1 am.

I was in court on Wednesday morning. It was weirdly quiet. The joke was it felt like the day after the Super Bowl, except no hang-overs.
