Election Day!

Only 4 more days until Election Day!

Thank goodness.  I don't know about you, but I just can't wait for it to be over and done with.

In all deference to our hallowed democratic election process, it has been a most harrowing and dreadful experience for me.  What about you?

Simply put, the election process is WAY TOO LONG!  I ran marathons in my prime, but I don't think I could endure the endless campaign grind and travel.  Give Trump credit, he's shown up all over the country and given 100% and Hillary never took a sip of water in any of the three 90 minute debates.

The 24/7 news cycle and our own Politics List serve have been crackling and, to be honest, I'm just burnt out.

One more thing, let's not let all this effort and money go to waste: please get out and vote on Tuesday!

So on November the county executive and mayoral races and more begin and they matter a lot!
Paul Napolitano

I can't wait until next time! Maybe there will be someone worthy of my vote!

Terrifying...Not a pretty picture for America!

Well stated Fred. Too much time spent listening to "pundits". Soon we can move forward !

Good blog, and I agree with you and all of the above comments. The Republican candidate has made hatred OK again and it is, as Bambe wrote, "terrifying". Friends are unfriending everywhere you look, or else not touching on the topic in order to remain friends, or at least be civil to one another. I wish that Sunday's turning back the clock by one hour could be by two years and start this process again, but much shorter.

Agreed that it has been like slow water torture. But, inevitably the torture ends, in this case, I am afraid that either leader's opponents will never relent and 2020 promises to be a difficult and another alarming election process, too.
Amparo Connors

Agree with all of you. Like Odey, my biggest fear is that this is not over on Tuesday! I'm praying for a decisive victory so this does not get dragged on with challenges and even greater division. This has been a time where many people's comments and opinions have truly surprised me! Can this nation truly leave hate behind and come together?

"At this point what difference does it make!" Sound familiar? I am a 72 year old white male . I am retired and worked for 50 plus years . I have been tuned in and sometimes tuned out . I have never seen the vitriol and acrimony in this country that I do now . And that includes 1968 and Chicago . Our country is divided . No matter who wins on Tuesday it will only serve to divide us more . Let's face it . Neither candidate brings a warm and fuzzy feeling to the table . History repeats itself folks . Americans have learned nothing . Personally IF WE CAN CLIMB OUT OF THIS IT WILL TAKE AN ENTIRE GENERATION IF AT ALL ! Change is slow .

Hard to disagree with anything you said.

The choice is clear.
This election cycle revealed something in our country which needs healing, which is a very positive thing.
Please don't complain around me. You live in America.
Take action if you are unhappy.
