The Life We Live

Categories

As many of you may know, when my husband was thirty years old, and his first wife was twenty-nine, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Through my husband’s tireless efforts at finding different treatments for her she lived thirteen years after her initial diagnosis. She passed, however, when she was forty-two years old and my husband was forty-three.

By facing the mortality of a loved one at such a young age my husband developed a strong personal philosophy; live every day as if it was your last. And we do live that philosophy, we travel as often as our schedules allow us to, havng gone to Sedonna July 4th weekend and Chicago during Labor Day. And next month we are going to Greece, a lifelong aspiration of mine.  If I question any of the travel plans my husband has a standard response, “If not now, when?”

My husband and I definitely live our lives guided by his philosophy. Do you have a personal philosophy?

Grandpa Stone always emphasized "be calm and cool at all times." Never easy.

It's a great philosophy. Have a wonderful trip and make sure to blog about it when you return!

And don't forget we went to San Diego in February, Las Vegas in April, and will be in Cabo San Lucas in December!
