Junkie

Every four years, Labor Day marks the 'beginning' of the presidential election campaign. And every four years, two types of people emerge -- those addicted to the election news and those who purposely avoid the election news.

Okay, I admit it. I'm addicted. I have become an election news junkie. I not only watch CNN whenever I can, I listen to CNN on the radio (and imagine what is showing on the screen).
I forego the sports pages in the newspaper for election coverage. I am driving Flo crazy.

I can make excuses for myself because this is an especially interesting election year...but that's the subject of a different blog.

I don't listen to any of it, especially the hostile comments from one side about the other. I do actively encourage voting!

I am similar, but also throw in some Fox for perspective.

I follow the process and how each campaign strategizes (or not) and how the press and talking heads and "crazies" cover the campaign and candidates. Some things I'll tweet and post to Gotham's politics blog. But I limit myself as I make a point of not "giving anything away."
