I recently took the 2 featured photographs:
"Murder The Rich" and "Kill Money"

The messages are clear. Are they too chilling to ignore?

Could there be Revolution in the air?

But, Don, if a picture is worth a thousand words, he's over the limit.
Scary pictures.

Revolution means change. Used to be few might see provocative messages. Now things can spread virally -- even modest modifications can get attention. Reality remains disconnects exist between those in power and those with less or none. Witness the debate on an assault weapons ban in our nation's capital. Following a meeting yesterday with leaders at the Biulding Trades, I discussed with the union president running for city council who I am advising how he will face pressure to "compromise" or otherwise deliver less in discretionary programs and projects in his district. Essentially we need folks in and near leadership to eschew the modest "sellout" that usually occurs.

I have a lapel pin that says "Tax the Rich", which seems less violent and more equitable.

People are desperate and it is up to the less desperate to make the changes we need to move everyone forward.

That last comment was Tessa Marquis at Gotham New Haven. I forgot to sign in and now I have forgotten my password and now the phone is ringing....

It seems to me since January 20th of 2009 this has been the message coming out of the Washington D.C. "bully pulpit". It is scary. It is destructive. If there is a revolution it is coming from within.

Ten years ago we had:

Steve jobs
Bob hope
Johnny cash

Now we have:

No jobs
No hope
No cash

Cause for a revolution?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm pretty confident the war on the rich was artificially constructed for political purposes, similar to the war on cigarettes heading into the 96 election and the anti-war efforts heading into the 2004 election.
