The Challenges of Modern Technology
It was time I suppose. My more than five year old laptop was very good to me. But five years in technology years made my laptop more like a relic whose time had come. So this weekend's project was to buy a new one. Shopping wasn't so bad, it was fun actually.
But the set up and adjustment has been particularly trying -- and time consuming -- I think in light of Windows 8, Microsoft's new operating system.
To me, it is very different and not as intuitive as I had hoped. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy new technology. But I think Windows 8 is going to take me some time to get used to.
So anyone have some Windows 8 insight for me? Any tips? I am open to any ideas you might have.

There should be on line tutorials to help you get through.
I fully expect that you will experience outreach from Gotham's excellent computer pros.

I originally learned on a MAC back in 1990, and then my employer made the whole bank harmonize to PCs. Hated that! Maybe I can get my partners to make the switch...
