Reflect back, focus forward and enjoy the present! I think that is balance. 

My “Do-Over” wishes are mostly from times when I opened my big mouth and spoke before thinking. When possible, I’ve tried to go back and apologize for these, even if it took decades.

I like to think that when you do things, you do them for the right reasons at the time. Take comfort in knowing that. 

I talk the paths one chooses or is “directed”.  I recognize what you call “do overs” might radically change who I am today, who I am with and even who my children are, even whether I can be called dad or grandfather  (or in my case, Sabba). Sometimes exterior “forces” impact those paths/directions.

I definitely find myself thinking about how things could be different now if I had done x,y, or z instead. But I try to gently let those thoughts move on. It's not like I'm unhappy now and those thoughts can get dark quickly and just not worth the bandwidth. 

I think about this often. Especially when thinking about my son and how moving when we did affected him.

I look back and tell myself "I made the best decision I could with what I had to work with at the time". STOPS my second guessing.

Especially when it comes to Real Estate....Never Look Back.
You paid what you could afford, you sold when you needed to.
Money is a silly construct and Regret is a waste of our Precious Time.

As I have gotten older, I have seen many things I would like to have done over. But we must lookahead and PUSH ON.
