Prime Print Real Estate
Another commentary was in mind but then my daughter, Marisa, texted an update from Friday when she shared the Daily News would publish her latest op-ed. Late last night she reported today’s Sunday, (New York) Daily News would publish her Opinion Piece, “Houses of worship need buffer zones.” The op-ed identifies her as “Bearak is assistant director of the American Jewish Committee regional office in New York.” Not only did her learned piece run, in today’s print edition it occupies prime print space on the same page 26 (Please see image accompanying this commentary.) that readers will find today’s editorial. Not bad. It makes a parent proud; as did when a Member of Congress asked about Marisa on Friday during meetings at the New York City Central Labor Council. Marisa’s work often has her interacting with many of the same folks in public office (or aspirants) I meet with in the course of my work.
