I was in a card store yesterday buying lotto and felt the sadness of not having to buy a Father's Day card. It's been over 12 years since he's passed. 

 

Though standing there amongst the sea of cards, I felt grateful that I had the opportunity to develop a deep relationship with him. Because of his integrity, kindness, patience, and unconditional love I believe being a Dad is the best job anybody can have. 

 

Happy Father's Day to every Dad.

My parents are both gone but not forgotten. These dates on the calander are now for the next generation and I will try to enjoy my day making new memories in this role.

I relate completely. Miss my dad so much and he is gone twelve years, too.
