Last night Gotham held its first Virtual Gotham Battle of the Bands (BOTB) competition sponsored by Jason Greenberg and The Phoenix Adjusters Group, Inc. and the Winners were: Tara O’Grady-First Prize($2000 and Show Case at Cafe Wha?), Parkway South-Second Prize ($1000) and Sound Judgment-
Third Prize ($500).

It was the first Virtual BOTB and hopefully the last, as we look forward to holding it next year, as in the past-all together, in William Skody’s iconic Cafe Wha?

We had ample applicants and planned to narrow them down to 6 finalists, but the entrants were so strong that we were compelled to decide on 7 Finalists.  

The list of the 7 Finalists and many other details were set forth in BOTB committee member Corey Bearak’s recent blog which promoted last night’s extravaganza.

Judges Stu Cantor, Craig Bruck and Barbara Maier Gustern had an extremely difficult task in making their decision!

We thank all the Zoom viewers, contestants, sponsors, Judges, and committee members, especially Cayce Crown (Thecrownview.com) for her video and Webmaster Mitch Tobol for his technical support.  Last, but far from least, we thank Events Chairman Norm Spizz for producing our wonderful, albeit virtual, musical show.  

I announced the above winners, but truth be told, Norm kept them from me until the very last moment as he thinks I can’t keep a secret and play favorites :)
