In A Moment

This is a sober reminder to appreciate your loved ones always, because you never know what tomorrow will bring. Over a week ago, I woke up to a text message from my mom, telling me she was having heart issues and that she was at the hospital. This text came in at 11pm, but I had been asleep for an hour. It was now 6am when I read the message. I called Mom and she had, had a heart attack. We were both shocked. Mom is a massage therapist, a personal trainer, and pretty much eats lettuce, broccoli, and water. If Colleen can have a heart attack, anyone can. She suffered an unusual heart attack called, SCAD. I was on the next plane to Chicago, to be with her. She’s stable. But, I am reminded how precious life is and how important our people are in our lives. She bought me the most special gift, before her heart attack and it has more meaning now, then it did when she bought it. A Freckled strawberry, to wear around my neck. It’s to your left. Love your people. Tell them, often!

Oh Carly. So very sorry to hear this. Female heart attacks are very different from male heart attacks Will research SCAD. Your presence will go far in supporting her recovery. Sending prayers.
