Heroism Within Family

How are you defining success in 2021? My story begins in December of 2020. Picture a make-shift she-shed with all the beautiful trimmings. Mirrored desk, with large double monitors, complete with a fancy media light to give proper, Hollywood lighting to those Zoom and WebEx calls. This money manager has been holding many family fortunes in place, like a ballast in the throws of a horrific storm, tossed in the economic cesspool of a pandemic and political quagmire. With decisions made in Washington DC, family legacy pushes one last time, in an effort to beat the sunsetting gift tax exemption and fortify family legacy, for yet another generation. This she-warrior grew weary. Her shield and sword became heavy and she needed a rest. The wounds from battle are deep. With sweat on her brow, wounds wrapped tightly and hungry for rest, King Fred Klein Esquire arrived to the rescue. With Lord Mitch Tobal holding steady at the ready, Joan of Arc- Shelly Simpson charged in, picked-up and carried my shield and sword, into the night. THIS is my Gotham family. They carried me across the finish line . Without hesitation, they intuitively knew I was in need. They didn’t ignore my silence, they rescued me and pulled me through to the other side. We are blessed. I love you people. This is 2021.

And she's baaaaack! Nice way to rally the troops, King Fred! Glad you're back and grateful to be able to help you help others.

Love it. Gotham is a family that supported me through 3 career changes - from Construction Attorney to Executive Coach and now Business Professor. Gotham is the Absolute BEST. Glad you are recharged and strong. We need our tribe on the Hero’s Journey.

I felt very supported by you amazing folks. You're the group that rallied in March and embraced the Zoom before the world even knew what Zoom was yet!

We are, all, far from alone. The tree takes my CO2 and give back O2. The tribe connects though an energy and communication unseen. That, perhaps, is the definition of a tribe. No mother is more happy than her most unhappy child. I have fallen and been picked up when I could not see a way. I am humbled and grateful. Your comments to me, when we have been on calls, have always been strengthening and up-lifting. I am grateful to have had the wisdom to accept them.
