Thanksgiving; The Supporting Cast

Categories
Holidays

For the first time, in a very long time, I am hosting family and friends for Thanksgiving.  For weeks, I have been planning all different menus in in my head.

I know, for many,  the “star of the show “ for Thanksgiving dinner is  the turkey.  But, for me, it’s all about the “supporting cast,” the side dishes. I already have four side dishes planned that are “must haves” for Thanksgiving dinner for my family;  stuffing (my husband makes the world's best stuffing), string bean casserole, mashed sweet potatoes with marshmallows, and macaroni and cheese.

While this sounds like  a lot of food to some, in order to feed my extended family, I need at least two more side dishes. So, help me out Gotham, what are your favorite Thanksgiving side dishes?  And would you share the recipe?

Happy happy Thanksgiving to my incredible Gotham family. You have given me a lot to be thankful for in this year.

At the dinners in Southold back in the dar, creamed onions were always a hit.

Sorry, I'm an eater not a cooker who focuses on the stuffing and gravy.

Sweet potato pudding, noodle pudding, matzah pudding. Sounds just like Rosh Hoshanah!
