Here we are. One twelfth of the way through 2017. Is it what you thought it would be? For me, it is very different.   I never thought it would be so good. Or so bad. Mostly kind of amazing. I have seen astonishing things come from our government, confused people doing surprising things and the greatest unification of people since the 60s. Yes, I was there for those exercises in democracy as well. I've learned about Third Wave networking. I realized I was living in paradise, surrounded by love, where anything is possible.
This past weekend we saw Manchester By The Sea. Perhaps because we had such high expectations, we were disappointed.
Costco. I have learned that it’s one of those places that either you love it or you hate it. My husband and I love it. Last week my blog was inspired by a Juice Plus insert and I follow it with another: So didn't work out the first time. Here are three tips to get you back on your feet. 1. Don't give up. Failing doesn't mean you're a failure. Failing means you tried. Most things worth achieving involve failing somewhere along the way. 2. Get thoughtful. Ask yourself: what can I learn from the set back? What do I need to change to get different results? How might plan B work out even better than plan A ever could have?
Yesterday, I was at the Annual Meeting of the Health Law Section of the State Bar Association. I've attended the meeting yearly for many, many years. Although I get continuing legal education credit for attending, I find the meeting a great way to keep current on developments in health care law. It's also a nice way to network with my colleagues and adversaries.
