Hi Gothamites,
Please read and consider making a donation to a woman who has overcome major challenges and is hoping to start Rutgers Law School!
She is a true giver in the Gotham mold and has served as a resource to other students in crisis (rape and suicide volunteer).
She has dyslexia and other learning differences. She was a high school dropout, but with an unbelievable determination to break her family’s cycle of poverty via education achieved a 3.95 from John Jay at the age of 30!
She put together a broad support team and I was privileged to work with her, Pro Bono, for three years as an academic coach. She worked very hard on LSAT prep and is now determined to become a Health Care Compliance Attorney to help others!
Now, her dilemma is to raise funds to begin Rutgers and start the Minority Orientation Program on August 7.
Due to bureaucratic issues, she will not receive her stipend or begin her work study till September.
She needs funds to move from Brooklyn to Camden, a PC Laptop as required by Rutgers, professional clothes, textbooks, miscellaneous dorm supplies, and food for her service cat.
Please see the GoFund Me and donate!
Any amount will help.
Please contact me with any questions or thoughts.
Respectfully,
Odey
