[Fredslist] Question About A Proposal

[Allen E. Kaye]

I need to check out the legitimacy of a proposal a client got from a company
called Perks who supposedly contracts with organizations like the LIU Alumni
Association.  They want to put her into their alumni referral network for a
significant fee, in return for which she will have an audience of 7600+
alumni.  I am hoping someone is either an LIU alumnus or can suggest other
ways in which to check out the legitimacy of this organization and proposal.
