Internship Opportunity for the Spring Semester at Borough President Diaz's Office 
 
The Bronx Borough President's Office is seeking a qualified, highly organized and detail oriented intern for Spring Semester 2013, to begin in January and end in May. This intern would report directly to the Director of Health and Human Services and work closely with said director and other Borough President's Office staff to help plan and coordinate Borough President Diaz's first ever borough-wide Bronx Health and Wellness Summit. The intern need not have a background in health. The main responsibilities will include:
 
Drafting and sending written and electronic correspondence
setting dates, agendas, briefings for all Summit planning meetings
taking and preparing notes from all meetings
communicating regularly with all Summit organizers
conducting on-site tours for Summit participants
helping the Director of Health and human Services with any as needed task related to the Bronx Health and Wellness Summit
 
The work performed will offer a tremendous amount of experience and exposure to event planning, marketing, press outreach, official government meetings and all areas of health and human services.
