About Karen Hockman
Founder of THE NIBBLE, the first consumer publication devoted to specialty
foods, Karen is a third-generation New York foodie. Previously, she was a
vice president of marketing at Citigroup and U.S. Wireless Data; and
president of the integrated marketing division of Jordan, McGrath, Case &
Partners, a national advertising agency (now Arnold Worldwide). Apart from
her vast food and wine knowledge, her toolkit includes product development,
branding, direct marketing, customer lifetime value and tireless
entrepreneurship. Karen is the founder and chair of the New York chapter of
MENG (Marketing Executives Networking Group, mengonline.com). She is a
graduate of Boston University and Columbia Business School.
 
A wine collector, avid cook and baker, Karen decided to combine her vast
food experience and in 2004 founded THE NIBBLE, the first consumer
publication devoted to specialty foods. It now has more than 500,000 readers
and she hasn¹t slept since.
