“Legislative Breakfast on Health Care”
An opportunity to speak directly to your elected officials about your  
vision for improved health care in our community
The Queens Medical Society and the Queens Chamber of Commerce have  
agreed to host this forum, so that representatives from the medical  
community, business community, as well as citizens / patients can  
share their experiences and tell our local elected officials about  
their healthcare needs and suggestions for the future. This “Town  
Hall” style forum has been scheduled as a follow up to the meeting  
that was originally requested by President-elect Barack Obama and  
Senator Tom Daschle, the secretary-designate for the U.S. Department  
of Health and Human Services, that communities across the U.S. provide  
suggestions to the new administration about potential health care  
reform initiatives.

*Speakers are required to sign up prior to the event, to ensure that  
they have an opportunity to address the Panel of elected officials.  
Those wishing to address the Panel are asked to register in advance by  
calling 718 268-7300.  Individuals are also welcome to submit written  
comments and testimony.

When you call to sign up you will be asked for your name, affiliation  
(if any), and a contact number, and depending on the response, you  
might be asked to limit your remarks to two (2) to four (4) minutes.   
You will also be asked to bring with you, if you are able, 10 paper  
copies of your remarks. If you do not get a slot to speak due to time  
constraints, you will certainly be invited to submit your comments in  
writing.
