 Electronic Music Foundation:

The Electronic Music Foundation’s environmental initiative is Ear to the
Earth, a start-up online international network. Ear to the Earth also
encompasses an annual environmental sound festival in New York City. The
network’s goal is to create a worldwide community of musicians, sound
artists, scientists, environmental activists and interested members of the
public based on the concept that environmental sound art can inspire
individual emotional involvement with today’s environmental issues. The
network allows users to exchange and create sounds and images that describe
places and subjects relating to environmental issues.
