[Fredslist] green/yellow parakeet at my bird feeder

Please post:
We have a green/yellow parakeet at our bird feeder in our backyard.  He/she
is very happy, soaring with all the other birds in the trees and eating
seeds with the birds, squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits that visit the
feeder.  His wings are not clipped (or grew  back).  However, he will not
survive the winter and I have been advised to catch him.  Any suggestions?
 I would really like to 'save' him.  I have posted the bird as lost on
petfinders.com and they suggested I put a cage near the feeder with toys,
food and water.  So I did. So far, no luck.
